I'm interested in the intersection of software and physical-world systems (sensors, PLCs, and IoT), which is also the focus of my undergraduate thesis.
Undergraduate Thesis
Distributed end-to-end IoT data pipeline for several municipal water pumping stations: a Siemens LOGO! 8 PLC integrates with an ESP32-based gateway that reads data over Modbus and publishes it via MQTT to a backend, which processes it and displays it on a real-time web dashboard.
Dairy Diet Optimization Platform
Web platform that calculates the lowest-cost ration meeting a dairy herd's nutritional requirements without compromising ruminal health, by combining the NRC 2001 nutritional model with linear programming.
Expense Splitter for One-Day Get-Togethers
Built with a friend to split the costs of a one-day get-together, like a barbecue: add who's coming, share the link with the group, everyone puts what they paid, and the app shows who transfers to whom. Nothing to install, no account needed. Money is handled as integer cents (never floats), the calculation engine is independent of the framework, and 53 tests check that balances always sum to zero.
Distributed hash table based on the Chord protocol, built for a Distributed Systems course. Each node runs as an independent process communicating over TCP; routing, consistent hashing, and lookups were tested against simulated node failures.
Desktop application to manage inventory, sales, customers, and suppliers for a veterinary clinic. Built with a team and currently in production use by the client.
Trip Group Expense-Splitting App
Web app for splitting a group trip's expenses with no sign-up: create a group, share its code, and everyone adds expenses from their phone. It calculates the shortest list of transfers that settles the trip.
